Surrena was born and raised in Sheridan, WY.  She attended Black Hills State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Wellness Management and competed in Track & Field.  She went on to get her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana in 2008.  Surrena has a broad range of experience treating complex musculoskeletal conditions.  She is Selective Functional Movement Assessment Level 2 Certified, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a Certified Manual Lymph Drainage Practitioner. She recognizes that pain is a complex challenge that often requires individualized, multifaceted, and wellness based approaches. With that in mind she hopes to use the skills she has been graced with to educate, equip and encourage each patient as they work toward improved function and vitality.

Beyond the clinical setting, Surrena is a wife and mother who delights in homeschooling her kids, gardening, recreating outdoors, and reading.
